Guest speakers included: Mayor Diane Watts, Superintendent Steve Martin, David Klein of Klein Lyons, RCMP's Bob Couture, and Markita Kaulius who tragically lost her daughter in 2011. Lots of media, fire department, city staff, police and the community attended in support of our holiday safety campaign.

Irving Oil Drivers Safeguard Our Roads
Irving Oil joined forces with MADD Canada and local authorities in Atlantic Canada to take impaired drivers off the roads.
As part of MADD Canada's Project Red Ribbon campaign, MADD Canada representatives and members of Saint John Police Force and RCMP trained over 100 Irving Oil fleet drivers and other employees on how to identify and report potentially unsafe or impaired drivers.
Irving Oil Manager of Transportation Services, Doug Myles, elaborated on the importance of the drivers' commitment. "Given our fleet drivers cover 4 to 5 million miles every year throughout the Maritimes, road safety is more than a priority for us, it's a value we live every day."
A large reproduction of MADD Canada's red ribbon was also displayed on Irving Oil's fleet of trucks, serving as a reminder to motorists about the importance of sober driving.
