Volunteers are the heart and soul of MADD Canada
The organization has more than 100 Chapters and Community Leaders, and some 7,500 volunteers across the country who contribute their time and skills to helping us achieve our mission. MADD Canada volunteers reach out to their local communities, form local partnerships, deliver our programs and form a supportive network for victims/survivors.
Our volunteers are making significant contributions in their local communities. Learn more.

Each year, between 1,250 and 1,500 Canadians are killed and close to 64,000 injured as a result of impairment-related crashes. These deaths and injuries are 100% preventable. They can be avoided if people do not get behind the wheels of their vehicles impaired.
MADD Canada works to stop impaired driving and to support victims/survivors of this violent crime.
- Through our awareness and education programs, we are trying to change behaviours, and make everyone aware that driving when impaired is a criminal and potentially deadly act.
- Through our public policy initiatives, we are working to ensure Canada has effective laws which take impaired drivers off the roads and serve both punitive and deterrent functions for anyone who thinks they can drive impaired without consequence.
- Through our Victim Services program, we offer support and resources to assist those who have lost loved ones or suffered injuries in impaired driving crashes on their journeys of recovery.
You can help! MADD Canada offers a wide range of opportunities for people who want to join the fight to end impaired driving and support victims/survivors.
Contact your local Chapter or Community Leader today to find out about events and activities in your community and how you can get involved.
If there isn’t a local group in your area, consider joining one of our awareness campaigns, such as Project Red Ribbon or Campaign 911.
We are sure you will find your involvement with MADD Canada to be as rewarding and fulfilling as other volunteers have found it to be.
