MADD Canada’s Multi-Media Assemblies brings high-energy, drug and alcohol awareness and risk reduction messaging to the world of education. Each school year over 750,000 students across Canada see the organization’s uniquely Canadian elementary and high school productions. Multi-Media Assembly shows have been a key component of MADD Canada’s youth services education and awareness initiatives since 1994. The yearly high school productions communicate directly with young people on their level and in their language and encourage youth to take a closer look at their values and perceptions. MADD Canada’s goal is to reduce the number of deaths and injuries of young Canadians due to alcohol or drug impaired driving. MADD-SENB thanks Alcool NB Liquor for their generous sponsorship of the Multi-Media Presentation in the coming year. Their support will see the presentation shown at 56 New Brunswick High Schools. MADD Scientist and the Quest for Power Aimed at elementary school students, this presentation delivers messages about the brain and how alcohol affects the brain, the dangers of drinking and driving, and protection from unsafe drivers. Dead On Arrival - DOA Geared towards students in grades 7-12 and played across 3 giant screens, this presentations is a bold and intensely emotional story of the lasting effects that one wrong decision can make. The show explores characters whose lives are catapulted into unforeseen situations in the aftermath of an impaired driving crash. Braking Point Portraying 14 to 18 year olds who use and abuse alcohol and marijuana, this educational package and accompanying DVD dramatize real situations of alcohol and marijuana use as well as the risks and consequences of heavy use.
