Strides for Change is MADD Canada’s annual walk/run.

The annual 5 km walk/run supports Chapters and Community Leaders in their efforts to educate the public about the

dangers of impaired driving and to help victims in their communities. The campaign is also an opportunity to keep safe and sober driving top of mind during the spring and summer months when the rate of impaired-related crashes are traditionally higher. Events are held in communities across Canada over the late spring and early summer. Please refer to the calendar section to find an event in your area. In addition to a leisurely walk or run along local parks or trails, the events feature a number of activities and attractions for participants. For more information on Strides for Change, how you can participate and tips on raising pledges, please visit the Strides for Change web site.

MADD Canada National Strides for Change is now part of the 2020 Mississauga Marathon

The original date in May 2020 for this event had to be changed due to Covid-19. We thank you so much for your patience during this very difficult period while we navigated our way through these unprecedented waters. We hope everyone is healthy and safe and doing their best to stay active.

We do bring you some great news. We’re excited to announce that a new date has been secured for MADD Canada’s National 2020 Strides for Change, as part of the Mississauga Marathon! The event will now take place September 18-20, 2020, with the 5K run/walk taking place on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

All runners who have already registered will be automatically deferred to these new dates.

You can register as part of the Mississauga Marathon September 18-20, 2020, and continue to support us at any of the events available, including a 5K run/walk.  Register as part of the MADD Canada Strides for Change Team at the following link:
