MADD Canada’s school assembly programs bring high-energy drug and alcohol impaired driving awareness and risk reduction messaging to the world of education.

Youth and school programming have been a key component of MADD Canada’s youth services, education and awareness initiatives since 1994. The programs are designed to communicate directly with young people on their level and in their language and encourage them to take a closer look at their values and perceptions.

Aftermath, is the story of Charlie, who makes a bad decision to drive after he has consumed alcohol and smoked pot. He actually tells his best friend, Elliott, that he drives better when he’s stoned as the two make the short drive to Charlie’s girlfriend’s house. On the way there, Charlie causes a crash that leaves an aftermath so devastating that no one could predict the rippling outcomes. Weeks later, Charlie’s younger brother, Mark, decides to take his therapist’s advice and make a video directed at Charlie. Through a series of interviews with his parents, their little sister, Charlie’s girlfriend and best friend, along with flashbacks to the night of the crash, we see the effect that one bad decision has made on so many people.
