MADD Canada Elementary School Program Outreach Facilitator – SK

If so, MADD Canada, a national charitable organization that works to stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime, requires a full-time Elementary School Program Outreach Facilitator for the 2019-20 school year.

In this role, you will travel throughout Saskatchewan in a retrofitted RV to present MADD Canada’s SmartWheels mobile classroom program, designed to educate students in grades 4, 5 and 6 about the harmful risks associated with alcohol and drug use and impaired driving.

You must have direct leadership and teaching experience with youth. The successful candidate must also be highly proficient in English and be a strong public speaker. We are also looking for someone who possesses excellent computer skills, has strong organizational skills, is detail-oriented and has the ability to drive an RV (as extensive travel across the province is required).

The successful applicant must provide the following; satisfactory criminal record check with a vulnerable sector search, driver’s abstract with at least three years of Class 5 Canadian driving experience and two years of post-Graduated Driver’s Licensing (GDL) program driving experience. Also, a Saskatchewan or equivalent provincial driver’s license would be required for driving a 42-foot RV. The candidate must also possess an air brake endorsement. If the successful applicant does not have the air brake endorsement, the fee to obtain this will be covered by MADD Canada.

Position start date will be in August 2019 (exact date to be determined with selected candidate).The position will entail some heavy lifting. Basic first aid is also a requirement.
