MADD Canada joins Volunteer Canada and all Canadian charitable organizations in applauding this country’s 12.7 million volunteers, and we especially want to recognize the incredible volunteer team that is the heart and soul of our own organization.
The MADD Canada presence is vibrant and effective in communities all across this country thanks to the more than 100 Chapter and Community Leader groups and thousands of volunteers who bring our messages and our programs to life in their towns, cities and regions.
With dedication, compassion and endless energy, these volunteers pursue our mission to end impaired driving and to support victims every single day. We thank and applaud them all for their incredible work and achievements.
The organization has more than 100 Chapters and Community Leaders, and some 7,500 volunteers across the country who contribute their time and skills to helping us achieve our mission. MADD Canada volunteers reach out to their local communities, form local partnerships, deliver our programs and form a supportive network for victims/survivors.

Each year, hundreds of Canadians are killed and tens of thousands are injured as a result of alcohol and/or drug-related crashes. These deaths and injuries are 100% preventable. They can be avoided if people do not get behind the wheels of their vehicles impaired.
MADD Canada works to stop impaired driving and to support victims/survivors of this violent crime.
Through our awareness and education programs, we are trying to change behaviours, and make everyone aware that driving when impaired is a criminal and potentially deadly act.
Through our public policy initiatives, we are working to ensure Canada has effective laws which take impaired drivers off the roads and serve both punitive and deterrent functions for anyone who thinks they can drive impaired without consequence.
Through our Victim Services program, we offer support and resources to assist those who have lost loved ones or suffered injuries in impaired driving crashes on their journeys of recovery.
You can help! MADD Canada offers a wide range of opportunities for people who want to join the fight to end impaired driving and support victims/survivors.
