Scott Douglas Wooley

Home city: Fort McMurray, Alberta
Age: 19
Date of crash: June 15, 1997

On June 15, 1997, four 19-year-old boys were taken into Heaven and one more was permanently scarred, emotionally and physically. Four lives were taken. Many lives were changed. The boys were returning home from a life of fun (no drinking) and heading home to family.

The day was Father’s Day. Someone decided that day to drink and drive and we must live with the results of that decision.

Thank you for visiting Scott’s memorial. He is my son.

Memorial Message

The following message was provided by Scott’s loving mother, Maureen Wooley.

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
A part of us went with you
The day God took you home
A million times we’ve missed you
A million times we’ve cried
If love could have saved you
You never would have died
Now to the site we travel
Where flowers are laid with care
No one knows the heartache
As we turn and leave you there
If love could build a stairway
And heartache build a lane
I’d walk the path to heaven
And bring you back again
