Tracey Lynn Talbot
Tracey Lynn Talbot
Home city: Harrow, Ontario
Date of crash: May 15, 1999
Tracey was a passenger in a car returning home late from a benefit party she had attended. Tracey fell asleep in the car after she had put her seat belt on. The driver of the car was still attending the party. The driver had promised that she would not drive the car if she was drunk and Tracey made the fatal mistake of taking her at her word. The driver of the car went off the road and stuck a cement bridge abutment flipping the car end over end, took off a tree and landed upside down killing Tracey on impact. A friend of Tracey’s who had also fallen asleep in the back seat of the car and the driver where not killed. Drugs and alcohol were involved.
Tracey had so much life and happiness in her and so much to live for, now her little sister and I will never see her experience her future hopes and dreams. Being her mother and a big sister was taken from us in a moment, and each day is a constant reminder of her absence in our family. All we have left is the many wonderful memories and her words of encouragement and wisdom that far exceeded her age. We always think that there will be a tomorrow to tell someone just how much they really mean to you. Her pictures on the wall remind me of just how thankful I am to God for putting her in my life for the time she was here and the many memories held in my heart and for the love and support she gave to us. Jodi and I will always love and miss you Tracey.
